West End performer Nadim Naaman, currently filling the boots of Raoul in The Phantom of the Opera, will be launching his second album Sides with an evening of songs from the album and music which has inspired his writing and shaped his career.
Accompanied by his live band, led by musical director and the album’s producer Joe Davison, Nadim will be joined by West End star guests who feature on the album.
Sides is a double-length album showcasing both sides of Nadim as a performer: as a singer-songwriter with nine original self-penned songs; and as an actor, with his take on nine musical theatre songs from writers and shows which have shaped and influenced his career so far, including Andrew Lloyd-Webber, Alan Menken, Andrew Lippa, Jason Robert Brown, William Finn, Cy Coleman & David Zippell, Maury Yeston, Stuart Brayson & Tim Rice, and John Dempsey & Dana P. Rowe.
Nadim made his West End debut as Rolf in The Sound of Music (London Palladium), and has since played roles including Anatoly in Chess (Union), Charles Clarke in the UK professional premier and Toronto production of Maury Yeston’s Titanic (Southwark Playhouse), 1st cover Alan & Alfie in One Man, Two Guvnors (National Theatre production at Haymarket Theatre) and Anthony in the acclaimed production of Sweeney Todd at Harrington’s Pie & Mash Shop.
His first album We All Want The Same, which is currently the top selling solo album on the Auburn Jam Records label, received rave reviews for both the album and live performances of his material:
